Oide Tsuribashi (Oide suspension bridge)

 Oide district is the representative Satoyama scenery of Hakuba. Oide suspension bridge is made for pedestrians. Many photographers and sketchers come for the glorious view of Hakuba-sanzan (Hakuba`s three mountains) and the thatched-roof houses. If you take a walk along the bridge and the traditional houses, you may also see a lot of visitors doing sports or drawing scenery pictures. After a walk, you may enjoy a tea time or dessert time at “Tsuribashi Tea House” next to the bridge, or at “Kappa-tei” which is on the other side of the bridge.

Aoni Mountain Village

Aoni Mountain Village is a historic village of groups of traditional houses, located on a hillside with an altitude of 760m, in northeastern Hakuba.
Mt. Monomiyama and Mt. Happosan are on the east; Iwato Mountain is on the north; Hakuba town, Mt. Goryudake and Mt. Kashimayaritake of North Alps can be viewed from the slope of southwest. Accompany with the stone wall, about 200 pieces of terraced rice-fields and irrigation canals “Aoni-seki” spread out on the east of the village, which is one of the Top 100 Terraced Paddy Fields in Japan. The village, terraced rice-fields, irrigation canals and the forest, a total of 59.7 hectares of areas have been recognized as Preservation District for Groups of Historic Building of Japan.

Hakuba Green Sports Park

his is a recreational park at the foot of North Alps, where everyone can enjoy the clean air and outdoor activities.
Hakuba Green Sports Park is where to enjoy camping, tennis, Mallet Golf or barbecue all in a place.
During summer, a lot of visitors from outside Nagano come to unwind themselves in the special curriculum of experiencing the nature of Hakuba. There is also a Museum of History and Folklore of Hakuba that allows visitors to learn about the lives of the early Hakuba locals.
