The Asahi town is located in the east of Toyama Prefecture. You will see the beautiful coastline of the Sea of Japan and the Mt. Shirouma centering on Northern Japan Alps in the south. Since flowers and plants of the season are very beautiful, the town has designated as "the magnificent flowery town in Toyama". Come and visit the town of pretty flowers!

The town of Asahi, located in the east end of Toyama Prefecture, faces the scenic Northern Japan Alps and the Sea of Japan. As the east end of Western Japan on the Sea of Japan side, the town also faces the border of Eastern Japan of geology, dialectology, and the power supply frequency other than the financial side and the cultural aspect covering various kinds. Asahi Town prospered as a post town and a road checkpoint in feudal Japan of the Hokuriku highway in ancient times. The town tells the Jomon remains, historic sites, and the trace of history, such as cultural heritage marked the dawn of the remaining culture to the present. Also, it is known as the place where beach volleyball originated.
